Willow Gathering Basket Class

Learn to create a timeless gathering basket with a wide, shallow shape designed for ease and comfort while harvesting. Perfect for collecting flowers from your garden, this basket blends function and beauty. In this workshop, you'll learn foundational weaving techniques and leave with a practical, handcrafted piece to use all season long. 

All supplies are included, and no previous experience is necessary.

Traceable Textiles is excited to bring in guest instructor Lauren Mae! Lauren is a creatrix, teacher, witch, and seeker of the magickal in everyday life. A lifelong maker and eager learner, she carries a background in Fashion Design and Garment Construction - foundations that shaped her deep appreciation for form, texture, and the art of working by hand. Her love for basket weaving grew from a connection to the materials and the process itself. Willow quickly became her favorite material, cherished for its bend, earthy scent, and steady rhythm. Weaving and broomcraft opened the door to a slower, more grounded creative practice, one that fosters presence and a deeper connection to nature. Drawn to intention and ritual, Lauren infuses each creation with a layer of magick, allowing creativity and purpose to intertwine. Her craft extends to workshops, and community gatherings, where she fosters connection, inspiration, and joy in the act of making.

Inclusion and Adaptations

At Traceable Textiles, our goal is to make fibre arts accessible and enjoyable for everybody. As most of our classes involve detailed verbal instructions and the use of the student’s hands and feet, please contact us if you may need adaptations to conventional methods. This forewarning allows the instructor time to prepare any techniques or tools that will help you succeed in the class.

Workshop and Drop in Policy

All workshop and studio drop in registrations are non-refundable. Each event requires significant time and preparation, including pre-arranged materials to ensure the best possible experience for participants.

Workshop and Drop in spots are transferable. If you have any questions, please contact us directly.

In the event of a cancellation due to low enrolment or unforeseen restrictions, we will provide alternative options for registered participants.

Only students are allowed in the studio during classes.
